In person and online therapy,

a space just for you

I warmly welcome you to a space for you

Welcome, my name is Alice and I am an Integrative Humanistic Therapist, working from a person centred, client focused, gestalt and existential approach. What does that actually mean? We will work in the here and now, looking at what is going on for you in this moment. The client comes first always, and I hope to enable you to create a happier more meaningful life.

I work in person and online, short term and long term, and I offer 6 sessions of lower cost therapy online. I believe that therapy should be accessible to all and we shouldn’t take a long time to be seen so I keep two online blocks at a lower cost. I work within the BACP guidelines and your safety and well being is my priority.

Making the decision to begin therapy can be scary, do feel free to email any questions you may have.

About me

I have spent the past year and a half working for Macmillan Cancer Care and The Olive Tree Cancer Care Centre, counselling people who have been affected by cancer and everything that arises from diagnosis, treatment, adjusting to a new life, grief and loss.

I have a creative background, working as a florist for fifteen years. It was during Covid that I decided to retrain as a therapeutic counsellor, realising that people want to tell their story, connect, be heard and find ways to help themselves. I like to take a holistic approach respecting that mind body and soul are one.

What my clients say...

I was hesitant about counselling at first, the thought of opening up to a stranger, but from our first session my perception changed, you created a space where I felt truly seen, heard and safe. Talking about past traumas wasnt easy but you had a way of making me feel understood without judgment, your presence alone carried a warmth that turned each session into a safe haven. I found healing in ways I never expected. You didnt just hear me, you saw me.

Have you ever experienced what it is to be truly heard?

In our daily conversations we are often listening to respond. I create a safe space for you to share and be witnessed in a non judgmental, empathic way. I aim to support you in your goals by firstly listening but offering tools to empower you to help yourself. In these busy days it is often seen as a privilege to carve out an hour for ourself, to focus on just us and our needs, and yet, what is one hour a week?

We often think that to be in therapy we have to be in crisis, but it can be more than that

We can seek to improve ourself with the support of another or we can come to process any of life’s many curveballs or maybe untangle something that we are struggling with, that perhaps we don’t want to share with friends.

We can improve our relationship with ourself and others through exploring in a safe non judgmental space.

I specialise in grief and loss and diagnosis processing

Throughout our life, all of us will suffer losses, from a death of a loved one, the end of a relationship or the loss of the life we have always known. Taking the time and space to process all that goes with these life changing events can help us to work through the many emotions that inevitably arise.

Many of us receive diagnoses and are left to cope with the effects, whether that is grieving what was or what will be. I will help you to navigate through.

I have worked with clients who have received life changing diagnoses, together we have worked through ways to integrate those changes.

How it works

We will have a free 20 minute consultation to check that we are a good fit to work together. I will ask you to fill in an assessment form so that we are clear of what your needs are

In our first meeting we will explore your goals, what you would like from therapy. Don’t worry though, sometimes, we just want to talk, a goal may become clearer as sessions progress.

I work with:

  • Grief and Loss
  • Diagnosis processing e.g. ADHD Autism, Health Diagnosis
  • Relationship breakdown
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Seasonal Depression
  • Life changes
  • Self esteem
  • Pet loss
